Gearbox sideGeraboxe side or axle side ?
I'm interested in both, but for above what is "high speed"?... front propshaft simple UJ to simple UJ , good for offroading a lot , strong but with a little vib at hight speed ...
This was referring to the first attempt, universal joint at each end, which resulted in vibrations. The new shaft he reports no vibrations at any speed. This will of course be tested by others and the life of the shaft will be tested too. This may be the answer we all need. Time and trial will tell, but it’s the most promising solution so far and theoretically could work.I'm interested in both, but for above what is "high speed"?
We are taking preorders and working with Sven on these. We already are testing some DC to DC shafts and then this one is coming over as well. I interested call me at 704-682-9323 or david@design-build-go.comAsap I do an early bird sell , for the USA , shaft is selling by Design Build and Go I think
It's one year of work mateIt almost sounds too good to be true!
Do you have pricing yet?Yes

He has prices. It's a big above the agile shaft, but not a lot above.
I'll let David share it when he is ready.
We exchanged emails about it when i learned about it
All the speeds are good , i take maybe 180Kmh with mine , limitor is out ! no vibsI'm interested in both, but for above what is "high speed"?
The Rzeppa side goes on the axle side and the DC on the Transfer case is $1899 Preorder. Time line is 3 weeks to produce as these are custom. Feel free to give me a call at 704-682-9323Do you have pricing yet?
I applaude you and Dakota and all the others that worked on this! Most of us won’t jump until needed, but many will purchase to be ready when it goes and a small group, I imagine, will purchase asap and go ahead and make the change. Either way, the amount of confidence this will bring to the table when proven is HUGE. The other things I don’t care too much about and happily put up with. This was the one thing that worried me.All the speeds are good , i take maybe 180Kmh with mine , limitor is out ! no vibs
are located in spain ?
Edit : i see you're in Canarias , difficult to came to me in France ! but easy for me to send to you
Problem on genuine shaft is the angle gearbox side that destroyed the rubber boot , and after the balls when the grease go out , with the double Cardan you have 30 more degrees of travel and no rubber boot , so the problem is eliminated. That’s fantastic news—congratulations to everyone involved for making this a reality.
One practical question amid the excitement: what gives the confidence that this new design is effectively fail-proof compared to the original shaft design? I’m curious about the reasoning, since these shafts haven’t yet accumulated hundreds of thousands of kilometers in real-world conditions.
Again, just trying to understand the mechanics behind and potentially a buyer in the near future.
I wholeheartedly agree. I'm now struggling with whether or not to pre-order or wait for a bit myself. Mainly because I just purchased a few things already and kinda wanted to catch up a bit.I applaude you and Dakota and all the others that worked on this! Can you share more on the Rzeppa joint you are using? Same design as the OEM shaft? We've stopped offering the Teraflex joint because we have seen such a large failure rate with them. Hopefully you are able to source an OEM quality Rzeppa joint.Problem on genuine shaft is the angle gearbox side that destroyed the rubber boot , and after the balls when the grease go out , with the double Cardan you have 30 more degrees of travel and no rubber boot , so the problem is eliminated.
But you always have a little of movement with a double cardan , with a DC to DC , due to the design you always have a small vibration under charge , when you have a Rzeppa or simple cardan at the other side it's not a problem .
With a simple cardan to simple cardan you always have a vibration under charge due to the angle gearbox side , the only solution is DC to Rzeppa or Simple cardan
