Fox Performance Elite Series 2.5 DSC EVO Reservoir Shocks from Agile Offroad and LRA fuel tank fitment. When I purchased the LRA auxiliary gas tank, there was a warning that there was no guarantee shocks with external reservoirs would fit. But after driving John Brindell’s Grenadier, I wanted the improved control and comfort.
Luckily, John was in Denver when Jeff Corwin at JC’s British 4x4 was installing the shocks and they could meet and figured out the solution. The rear shocks had to be returned to Agile Offroad for repositioning the hose to the reservoir, but everything fits. Agile Offroad has documented what needs to be done.
I waited to write this until I had several thousand miles on them, 3 trips, Jan Juan Mountains, Moab, Bill More Lake. The ride is much improved over stock. I had a loaner last week when I got my 12k mile service, there is a big difference.
Mickey Thompson tires and Fox 2.5 shocks
Across I-70 to Moab, tires at 40/46 and shocks at 4/3 (low/high setting) – great control at 90mph on the flat and over Vail pass
Off in the rocks, tires at 20/20 and shocks at 2/1 (low/high setting) – control and comfort is great
Same experience as other folks I have talked to with the Fox 2.5
