Before anything else please know that I love my Trialmaster! The problem that I am learning is a common problem, is the door swinging open too far destroying the right rear brake light. The fix is, putting the door stop on the top of the door, not at the bottom where anything in the back could fall into that area to block the proper usage of the current door stop!

First time I’ve seen a post about this and I spend quite a bit of time in here. Common?
I’m not sure if he upgraded the tires or not but I know some people who went with a larger tire size had issues with the spare when opening the lager rear door.

I’ve never had a problem the rear door. Works perfect. It has a latch that prevents it from randomly swinging open like a barn door in the wind.

Got it. That's a known and frustrating issue. The factory door stop at the bottom is weak and gets blocked easily.

The best fix is to install an aftermarket overhead door stop. It mounts at the top of the door frame and stops the door from swinging out too far, completely protecting your brake light. You can find them online or at an RV parts store.
