I am a Brit - now living in California and am looking into getting my first Grenadier! I've had Landrovers in the past and love the new/classic body style of the INEOS. However, not sure what model I should get. Also not sure if I should buy new or used given I'm on a bit of a budget. Any advice or insight would be great!

Where in CA do you live - and how do you intend to use it? We can offer more input if you say a little more about how you’ve used your Land Rovers and how you want to use your (future) Grenadier. There are many CA owners in the Forum. I will just offer this - if you’re primarily attracted to the look - don’t buy it. Most of what matters is underneath - the stuff you don’t see. If you’re not buying it for that, then you’re in for a bit of a rude awakening, especially if you’re just stuck in traffic for hours at a time.

Please take the cynics as they deserve to be taken. I owned a raft of Defenders and series Landys over nigh on forty years. Series II, Series III etc. ending with a 2008 Puma.

I have a Fieldmaster. Bought secondhand. Six months old, 1500 miles. £20k below the list at the time of purchase. Bloomin’ brilliant.

I am not a serious off roader. Or an expedition freak. Just a lover of the style of a Defender, modernised and widened; and the capability to cope with island life. Used as my daily driver, and regularly as a tow motor.

My advice? Think about all the features you would really like, or maybe need, then just buy it. If you loved the proper old school Defender you cannot go wrong.
