So this is only a bench crack for the DME nothing to do with the ineos side. Still stuck

You can watch the value "Normalized trigger for DPF regen", e.g. with OBDlink. It tells you approximately how close you are to a regen cycle start (see here).1. MONITORING. Display the realtime DPF soot loading value on an OBDII monitor such as Codebreaker or an app like Torque Pro. For this to be useful we would need to know the baseline value for regeneration. For example, if regeneration occurs at 50% and the current soot load is 30% there is 20% remaining until the next cycle. A toggle between current soot level and % remaining to next regen would be a nice feature.
Thank you. I messed around with a dongle and the Torque app but grew tired of the errors if the dongle was detected at startup. You can watch the value "Normalized trigger for DPF regen", e.g. with OBDlink. It tells you approximately how close you are to a regen cycle start (see here).
Yep, Ford got it right.Thank you. I messed around with a dongle and the Torque app but grew tired of the errors if the dongle was detected at startup.
Ford has listened to what the customer wants in the new Ranger Super Duty.
In direct response to customer feedback, the ability to delay diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration cycle temporarily in certain circumstances has also been added to benefit customers operating in high fire-risk environments.
Controlled through the 12-inch SYNC infotainment screen, this also introduces the ability to manually initiate a DPF regeneration cycle. The auto stop-start function has also been removed.
Agreed. IA are not in control of engineering for the engines at a low level. Even if they wanted to do something like this they're reliant on BMW to agree to support it without voiding the warranty, meaning IA would need to take on all liability, then make the coding changes in the DDE for IA. IA then need someone else to add the interface code in the head unit.Yep, Ford got it right.
It helps when the design and development was done in Australia, with help from the US Super Duty team.
A DPF burn-off in spinifex could be catastrophic for the car.
Have you got any contacts that could look at this for the Grenadier? To see if it is even feasible and cost effective? Most DPF regeneration delay sytems will only allow it several times before the engine goes into limp, might be a pain in some locations. What it needs is the ability to do a foced burn when correct parameters are met. The only issue with a forced full burn is fuel dilution.
Maybe it's time to start looking at exhaust lagging blankets on modern vehicles with dpf and scr for use in the scrub. Most new tractors and dozers have dpfs now and this stuff prevents fires from grass and seed build up when doing scrub work.

Aletek is a major supplier to the mining industry. Search Exhaust thermal blankets there are other manufacturers and it is also used in some marine applications and performance cars. It's expensive but it is good insurance in dry scrub.Have you got any contacts that could look at this for the Grenadier? To see if it is even feasible and cost effective?
I once got stuck on an overgrown track with dry grass 2 to 2.5 meters high. Grass everywhere both front, back and both sides, no where to turn around. I was in the Patrol but what a nightmare if it was the INEOS and it decides to do a DPF burn! The car and driver would be lucky to survive.Aletek is a major supplier to the mining industry. I've seen a few blokes knock down clearings by dragging a old tyres behind utes to break the dry grass near ground level also seen the same method used with old truck and loader tyres in a gang to knock down the tops of corrugations to smooth roads for low loaders carrying electrical control rooms.I once got stuck on an overgrown track with dry grass 2.5 meters high. For nearly an hour or more I was glued to the HEMA map trying to make sure I remained on the completely overgrown track. Three nealry washed out "creek creek crossings". It was a nightmare, the worse wrong turn I ever took. I was grateful when I reached the end. Just the driver, the car and the Stockman Pod Trailer. I suppose that reopened the track for that year.![]()
