There is no lock button on the front passenger door. They may have forgotten to connect the wire for the drivers door lock.
Has anyone looked at the passenger door to see if the wiring is there to install a door unlock button in place of that blank?

I asked the dealer last week when I was in for some maintenance. They assured me there was no wiring there behind the blank. Don't know if I believe it though. It's pretty easy to remove the door card to check. I did it on the driver's side when they forgot to plug the switch back in after the door lock recall exchange. I'll probably check on that this weekend.Has anyone looked at the passenger door to see if the wiring is there to install a door unlock button in place of that blank?
Thanks, will be interested to learn what you discover.I asked the dealer last week when I was in for some maintenance. They assured me there was no wiring there behind the blank. My rear driver's side door started sticking AFTER the recall work was done. Turned out that the tech had installed an O-ring incorrectly on the back end of the button and it was getting caught. Unfortunately it took the more experienced service manager at the dealership to figure it out so it took them an extra day or so to resolve it. At least it's not sticking anymore.Just wanted to add that I had the exact same problem with my car “Big Bertha”. The rear LH door button stuck in. On the first occasion, the car was locked, then broken into, stuff stolen. I guessed wrong that the car electronics had been over-ridden! But no the rear button then stuck in a second time and the door swung fully open on a country road. FFS The dealer had a replacement door handle ordered. This month, the dealer has me 20th in line for a recall of all four handles. Not impressed.

Yes, that's what I learnt from my dealer today. In the US the recall replaces all the locks including the ignition cylinder. I was just about to have some keys cut for our spare remotes when I found this out. We're in the recall range.
Personally we'd really like to have an interior button and external key hole for the front passenger door. It's a safety issue. When the driver is occupied outside the vehicle the co-pilot should be able to secure the vehicle from inside without scrounging for a remote. The same is true for exterior entry. A mechanical key hangs easily on a wristband (or other) and gets you in quickly.
Today I'm at my dealer for a 30k service. I am very happy with my Grenadier and can only recommend it to others. You can see that Ineos takes the issues seriously by the fact that all vehicles that are more than a few weeks/months old receive new door locks. New locks have been in series production for some time now. This will solve the problem of buttons getting stuck. The previous remedies suggested by Ineos have not been successful. This was already clear to me and my dealer at the time. That's why they didn't carry out the modifications. This time, the complete door locks will be...
Checking back, can we add the unlock/lock buttons on passenger door? ThanksI asked the dealer last week when I was in for some maintenance. They assured me there was no wiring there behind the blank. Mine only stuck once and I had to give the door a bang to release, mine is an early vehicle too but they have been changedHow come the early adopter Grenadiers don't have the door lock problem?
Did they switch to Temu 3d printers or something?
Couple of mine stuck a bit at the start, but with use and a spray of silicone they've worked flawlessly for 18 months , in all weathers, and the car lives outside, rarely washed etc
Maybe like the Old Defenders having thinner door panels than the Series Landies, the newer Grenadiers have thinner door skins?Mine only stuck once and I had to give the door a bang to release, mine is an early vehicle too but they have been changed
I had exactly the same problem on 3 of my doors, and once the passenger door swung open when making a U-turn. They installed some O-rings, but there is still one door that I should be careful with. My VIN is 01312 at the end.How come the early adopter Grenadiers don't have the door lock problem?
