Drove past my Ineos dealer in Brighton Vic today and all vehicles in the showroom and delivery area are now GWM or Haval, no Grenadiers or QMs. Still has Ineos signage up but nothing made in Hambach inside. Oh the irony to see a GWM Tank instead of a Grenadier. Anyone aware if they are closing or relocating???

No longer an INEOS dealer. They will sell more CCC than INEOS.

Yes a few Australian dealers are no longer. Magic in Perth finished 31/12 and I understand the Orange NSW and Geelong Vic Dealers have finished up as well.

When the only dealer servicing an Australian metropolitan population of over 5 million people decides to sell Chinese cars instead you know the future ain't bright for Ineos.

They just want to sell cheap cars with big dealer margins. It is all about them making money, the more the better.

I reckon there is a good chance these Chinese cars have a kill switch in them somewhere, easily the EVs. They definitely spy on you and they are not the only ones who do it. Even some Chinese made vacuum cleaners are communicating with servers in China. The Communist government cannot be trusted. I try and minimise my exposure, knowing I cannot completely avoid Chinese made. Often I can find an alternate source and I use it even if I have to pay a bit more.

I have no problem with Chinese made cars or other goods (hell, the reason I can afford a Grenadier is due to selling products made in China and other Asian countries), its more the signal that there is not enough money to be made selling Ineos in a big affluent market like ours. Bugger.

10mm Chinese sockets are safe. Until they shatter that is!
btw the Tassy agent is spitting the dummy too.

Self service or an annual boat voyage with a side trip to Warragul? (If the dealer in Warragul is still there?)
Routine service no problem ; TSB and warranty work - who knows?
I've raised a ticket.

Maybe the mythical flying spanners can be resurrected as sailing spanners and they can do a biannual trip across Bass Strait to sort out the locals.
I've sent a few spanners flying in my time.

That is A bit of a conspiracy theory DocAUS, next thing you are going to tell me man didn't land on the Moon.
Coming from a telecommunications background, Telstra Techs used to joke about the American made DSLAM and CMUX equipment while being good quality, but having sniffers on them dramatically slowing them down ( sniffers used for recording conservations for governments both Australian and American ) while the Chinese Huawei equipment did not have sniffers, but could not be used in Australia or evidently America as it did not have sniffers, but the Huawei equipment was also good quality and much faster as it did not have sniffers, and significantly cheaper.
Sniffers are common knowledge in the industry.

Canberra dealer gone as well. Soon we will be putting them back on the boat and sending them back to Hambach for a service reset  the way things are going.

Was Brighton the only dealer located in Melbourne?
