dash emblem

does any body know how to remove the emblem in the dash ? I want to see if I can mount a tablet holder there .

I bet it just pops out. It's only a placeholder for the OEM compass. Maybe run a small borescope up behind the dash and see?

tried popping it out but it is very tight, I dont want to break it or the facia

There is a torx bit on the backside of the logo.

Remove the climate control
Remove the upper console mid panel
Remove center stack side oanels
Remove the center air vents

They could have just used a bolt head on the logo, but no. Invent something that incurs a 1 hour service charge.

I am in the process of removing it now . Have you tried or are you following the workshop manual instructions? I have found that to actually get the climate control panel off you have to remove the centre console back to get to the 2 lower screws which are hidden behind the centre console . and you still cant get to the back of the logo .
