tried popping it out but it is very tight, I dont want to break it or the faciaI bet it just pops out. It's only a placeholder for the OEM compass. Maybe run a small borescope up behind the dash and see?
There is a torx bit on the backside of the logo.tried popping it out but it is very tight, I dont want to break it or the facia
They could have just used a bolt head on the logo, but no. Invent something that incurs a 1 hour service charge. There is a torx bit on the backside of the logo.
Remove the climate control
Remove the upper console mid panel
Remove center stack side oanels
Remove the center air vents
Or find a really small dexterous child with really long arms. There is a torx bit on the backside of the logo.

I am in the process of removing it now . Have you tried or are you following the workshop manual instructions? I have found that to actually get the climate control panel off you have to remove the centre console back to get to the 2 lower screws which are hidden behind the centre console . and you still cant get to the back of the logo .They could have just used a bolt head on the logo, but no. Finally got it done ,a huge amount of work as the entire centre console has to be unbolted and moved back about 25mm so the the control panel can be removed so that the vent panel can be removed but then all of th side panels need to be removed after the glove box and steering column panel are removed , but you dont have to go quite that far . Once the control panel is removed I removed the screws in the side panel thet I could see and sprung them away .
The head unit needs to be removed so that the infamous screw can be removed then the vent panel needs to be wriggled out a bit to release the logo unit after you disconnect the wires going into the back of it . I suspect that the logo contains the transponder for the GPS , I put into a stubby cooler snd tuckd it in the dash and left it thre
