Curve ball

And selling my house
Maybe you should try a trick: Increase the price by 50,000 every week for a period of, say, six weeks.

Maybe there are people lurking on the offer, waiting for the price to fall. In a panic, they might decide to "buy it now!!!!" ...

And if there was no one lurking, you probably haven't done anything wrong. Then, if there's still no sale, simply hide the offer for two weeks and then let it resurface at a realistic price. This gives the impression that the offer has been "sold" and (hopefully) preserves the good reputation by simply letting some grass grow over it. And there are new interested parties looking at the ads every day.

Yes, it's a poker game.

LinkedIn is proving a great tool.
I posted the details below on LinkedIn two days ago and it has had an amazing response.
Interesting to see 21 people from Ineos and even a couple of people from the forum.
Most importantly two companies reached out to me to start discussions on possible jobs.
After a good phone discussion with one yesterday I received a Teams meeting interview appointment for next Monday.
They are interested in creating a position for me working from home in sunny Toogoom.
Fingers crossed.

Dave, re-inventing yourself can be a challenge ... however, I reckon with your obvious entrepreneurial spirit ... how about establishing yourself as the local coordinator of Ineos Grenadier "owners only" tag-along tours of K'gari - Fraser Island where new owners learn to handle their vehicles? (Along the lines of the "familiarity/adventure" programs that Isuzu Australia has established for its D-Max owners ...) You could put that big shed to work! I'd be delighted to pay to participate in such a trip ;)(y)

Lifestyle Bro - Lifestyle.

I am a qualified Accountant by trade - but about 20 years ago I decided that lifestyle was more important. Enjoy working from home mate.
