Hi all,

I got a high temperature warning couple nights ago, got home and as expected cooland was very low. Filled it up next morning and when i got home (after around 70 miles) it was almost empty again….(the high temp tank). There is no external puddles on the floor or any liquid signs around the tank (no sweet smell inside the car either).

My Ineos dealer is about 120miles so i put it in a tow truck, dont want to risk it and have service appointment this monday.

Anybody had a similar issue with the coolant? What could it be? Ineos dealer was quite helpful and i asume whatever it is will be cover by the warranty

But its a bummer since i live in a damn snowy place….

I had a similar leak in that tank (passenger side on the LHD version for those of different persuasions). Luckily in my case it didn't result in a temperature fluctuation - I just noticed the smell of coolant and then began looking for the source. Evidently the tank is made from two parts - upper and lower - and that seam fails resulting in the leak. Replaced under warranty.

Yeah it doesnt make much sense that the tank is just not a solid piece. It was losing fluid like crazy i guess while driving since there was no visible puddles on the floor, lost like half a gallon in just a few miles.

Only issue is that now the damn car is more than a 100 miles away and is a pain for me to go get it. Ineos dealership was very nice and quick to repair it
