Broken safari window - most stupid driver alive (me)

I love this forum. You post your less smartest moments and all you get in reply is just another story! no finger pointing but a feedback that we all try to show from time to time that we are just close to perfect.
Would make a beautiful evening around a campfire!

1 year ago, 1 month with RTT, drove backwards in to the garage, and didn`t thought about, that the carport behind the garage is 20cm less high…… bended gutters and bended Thule roofbar…. At this evening I was the most stupid Grenny driver in the world, with a wife happy that not happened to her.In the meanwhile no one cares anymore about the „wave“ in the gutter, and the Thule roofbar is still working since 18.000km

Could you source the glass from a glass shop? Meaning, you have a template with the second safari. You have the piece from the shattered one. Since it is plug and play, do you think it might be easier?

i can totally see myself backing out with the safari window open and snagging the door or the frame... So far so good, but mistakes are easy to make.

I have left my sunroof open a number of times by mistake. For all the bongs and bings and warning messages, a "sunroof open" notification when engine off would certainly be a welcome one. Unlike most of the others that are irritating.
I leave mine open a lot when parked.
Interesting it still allows you to set the alarm, so they are not monitored.

These safari windows are very nice but I worry about hail. A couple of days ago we were at Mammoth Cave Kentucky and, in the evening, they were calling for hail and tornadoes. I covered the windshield and safari windows with a blanket and hoped for the best. The serious part of the storm missed us, thankfully, but hit Bowling Green hard. We got lucky.

I am sure that it is doable. But I did not think of it in the first place. The next time I will do so for sure!
One problem you would have to face is the exact colour of the glass which might be hard to get. The original is tinted within the glass.

An entire community competing on exhibiting stupidity and a diminished capacity and instinct for self-preservation. Otherwise known as “I bought a Grenadier.” Everyone else, “what, are you f*****g stupid?!” Us - “let me show you this one scar from my latest bear mauling.” I met another Grenadier owner recently - missing all of his finger tips beyond the distal joint. Ran his hand straight through a table saw. Slight problem since he was on a SWAT team and that was his shooting hand. Instant man-crush - he wins all the awesome points.

Given that I've once tried to pull into the garage after a long trip forgetting I had my bikes on the roof, I'm rather glad I don't fit in my garage.
Constantly drive into my garage after fishing on the Driftless with the WeBoost antenna up - did it against this weekend.

This where convince becomes expensive. I have found when I have to get out of the vehicle and open my garage door, I catch things on my roof. Where as I press a button and drive in, I forget that I put something up there.
