Perhaps we could paint a Red Rooster as a symbol on the conning tower of our submarines, .... just for fun.

I won’t rag on the French too much - I was shown tremendous hospitality in Le Hamel and Villers when I turned up on a motorbike on the trail of my great grandfather (who they have looked after well these many years).

I've missed out some of this thread thanks to my ignore list . But I'm guessing there's enough, cheek and "my way or the highway" to go around.

I will say I see irony in the desire and welcoming on this forum of having one's nation's flag displayed in contrast to use of that other great marker of Nationalism, language, yeah ... not so much.

Disagree with regional forums at this point. Better that we all fish from the same pond.
