As far as I can tell the nimbus kit is potentially a very small numbers game. That in turn has issues like their ability to get repairs carried out quickly. And this reflects on the general feedback for the brand.
Yep. Failures for this system are going to be considerably more painful due to the small scale bespoke design. It will be very interesting to see how ( or if ) they attempt to work through this constraint. Of course most of the stuff on our ride at this point falls into a similar bucket…
The other aspect that puts me off is the quality control aspects, being a small bespoke like offering - I don't see much traction and feedback from the broader base. And it's not like they are just a new brand.
I suspect most of this is due to the substantially higher price point and lack of brand name recognition for Nimbus versus competing products. None of which is surprising. Of course “beta testing” through your customer base is also a thing but that appears to be quite commonplace in the aftermarket automotive component realm…
I am no stranger to small number offerings, EFS has been my goto choice for 14+ years. I just don't see nimbus quite show up in the same manner, so feedback from the forum members will be great!
Agreed.
