The Buzz overlanding seem promising. The original way to do it was to send ECU out for unlock and have a company bench tune. Meaning you could not tune via OBII, so I'd be curious if Buzz's tune is this method or not?Bringing this back up since a couple of companies were successful flashing the ECU after unlock. Dealer in Germany and Gren X in Australia offering Diesel tunes, Buzz Overland apparently did a B58 to 460HP.
Is anyone in the US working on this?
Why?Not looking at a piggy back....flash tune.
An actual flash tune done correctly is much more safe for the engine than piggy. A piggy literally just fakes out the signal you are sending to gain just more boost. So basically simplifying it if say the engine is expecting 5lbs boost the piggy will say oh no I'm only getting 2.5lbs then ECM will allow for more boost. Most are done in a way its kept as safe as possible but a real tune the entire engine management system works without getting tricked and is exactly as the OEM tune operates just with different mapping. There are some really awesome Youtubes and articles that the pros go way deeper on explaining all this much more detail. Why?
Dear scottandserena, I bought a pedal commander and I have problems to install. Maybe you have some hints for me to get access to the pedal plug?I have a blue spark chip , along with a pedal commander Love them both. Thing is a torque machine now, and acceleration is incredible
I use 91 octane Blue Spark was super helpful with the install
Yes the problem is do unplug the connector behind the throttle (finger too big!)What sort of problems? The install for me was fairly easy
