Auxiliary charging points

What exactly are these , are they plugin points for accessories ie lights on roof or are they spread across the vehicle at different points just a general question for those in the know .?

I suspect even the small design detail ...like adding a couple of USB points , entails a plethora (great word plethora!) of design drawing changes, a schedule point on the assembly timeline, supplier contracts, guaranteed manufacturing quality (don't want short circuits causing fires.....). It all adds up to additional cost if it's not part of a standard 'package' for  a defined trim level....   this is mere speculation of course!?  Which is why I declined said option until I work out exactly what's needed for my vehicle....
