Analoge speedometer

My wife wants to see an analoge speedometer in front of her nose… any ideas? A screen with a classic meter powerd by OBD port, headup display as dashboard mount….??? (Mobile phone is not an option)

Look for a HUD - heads up display. Some discussed on forum. Most are digital but you can probably find an analogue model somewhere. Many just plug into the OBD2 port.

My wife sits in the passenger seat and I wish she couldn't see the speedo at all.

Get reviews from other Grenadier owners if you go the OBDII route. I bought one and it constantly was causing error codes.

Interesting…I hardly ever look at the speedo unless there's a cop behind me or if they're ahead running radar/laser

Try driving on the UK, especially some parts, you will never take your eyes off the speedo.

its the kids in the back seat for me - the screen is front and centre for them, i'm forever being asked why i'm doing 62 if the speed limit is 60...

Worse now that some Regional Councils have introduced blanket 20mph speed limits in all towns and villages. My adjacent Council already has and my Council is half way through rolling out that programme.

What is worse, Spain do this too, is the constant limit change. 40, then 30, then 40, then 30, then 20...

If I didn't have Waze up with speed limits I would easily lose track.

My old (10 years ago?) Garmin GPS used to have a speed display screen that you could toggle to. It gave you a very clear picture of a white circular analogue speedometer with a red needle and numbers - I can't remember what model it was but it would have been as a cheap one - I bought it for about £100 +/- when the built in satnav on an Amazon Landcruiser packed up and Toyota quoted me £7,000 plus VAT to replace it - which was probably about what the car was worth.
