We def recorded it - not sure if it actually got out there. We actually do that with regularity - our BS sessions eat up lots of Stu's hard drive space.

There was one given to one of the Brisbane Toyota dealers but it could not be registered.
The portal hubs where used in some 4x4 Coaster buses.

Two cars stick in my mind - a V12 Jaguar XJS that I bought new in the early 90's - a beautiful car for long journeys on decent roads that never had any problems electrical or otherwise. A bit tail end happy in the wet or on icy roads but I have always regretted selling it. Secondly a 2001 Diesel 4.2 litre Toyota Landcruiser Amazon that I bought in 2002. Rear seats folded flat unlike the Grenadier, separate buttons/dials for all controls, brilliant off road, and soft and comfortable on long journeys on road. Basic and plastic looking inside compared to the Range Rover of the same vintage but virtually indestructible engineering and electrics that had been sorted perfectly before it reached the customer. Its still going strong after 500K miles but is looking pretty battered inside and out now. Having owned newer landcruisers after this one I think the 2001 was the last model without electronics that let you down and needed lots of laptop power to diagnose and possibly the last one where build quality trumped build cost.

I think in todays UK I would plump for the Toyota over the Jaguar on the grounds that you can;t put your foot down anywhere in the UK now without being caught on a speed camera, fined, and having points docked from your license so the scope for enjoying a new XJS is not what it was.

Easy one for me I would buy another 2020 Shogun (Pajero) Sport in a heartbeat. I would swap my grenny for one tomorrow if you could still buy them in Europe. It just worked for me, much more so than the grenny does I'm sad to say. Very capable off-road, ultra reliable, very quiet and well mannered on the road, more comfortable for me than the grenny, plenty of space, zero problems in the 4 years I owned one

They were called Monteros in the states. I was always partial to the boxy ones from the late 80s and then two generations later in early 2000s.
