Just researching some more the trial master. My dealer said all aircon issues like blowing hot/cold air randomly and drips from aircon onto floor mat were only in 2023 models. Has this issue been resolved on 2024 models. Any help advice appreciated 👏

Sadly the air con issues have not been resolved and like all car salesmen they are more than happy to bend the truth and tell a few white lies to increase sales and their commissions

Have a look at the Resources section of this forum. There have been a number of TSBs issued on water ingress, the condensate on the mat is usually addressed either from build or by lagging a pipe.

Some vehicles do appear to be haunted, but the HVAC should work and if the dealer says "They all do that, Sir", tell them the world calls them a liar and to get back to Ineos Automotive.

(Getting air out of the coolant circuits is a pain, but the process is saved on here, too)

Thanks for the info mate. One morning I wake up say im getting one. Then next morning its a 300. The grenadier just draws me in and my test ride was awsome. There was a service agent in Geraldton WA that use to do service/repairs but a fella i spoke to 2 nights ago from QLD in tom price now has to go to Perth for a service. He never had an aircon issue now with 41k.

No. It is still present on MY24. Mine is a July 2024 build just before the shutdown and has it and is planned to be fixed when it goes into service in just over a month. They just lag the pipe that condensates to stop that condensation.

Mine also has the hot/cold issue but rarely. The short wait before firing the engine up means I haven't had it unless I forgot to wait.

That makes sense wrapping the pipes. I went to the perth dealer and they basically had most of the dash panels out replacing the HVAC system due to the AC not functioning properly. I wouldn't like having the whole dash apart if it was my new car but some credit they were atleast reparing it for the customer. Hope the tech had no screws left over. 🙄

That may be my car. A queens red trialmaster wagon. It is in Magic Perth, getting 30k service, door handles, A/C drips in passenger footwell, heater issues, diff seal. Hopefully all fixed when i get it back!:)

Yes that's the one mate. I asked to have a look at their workshop around the corner as it can speak volumes and the salesman was happy to oblige. House keeping was good. I hope your issues are all ssorted. Going for a look at the GX again today at new town then back to ineos dealer for another look. Going to be hard to sell my LC manual 100 FTE. Decisions

To help decide I can tell you that on a recent trip to Rockhampton Qld, I clocked up 13711km, 95% was towing a 2800kg full height semi off road van. Average usage was 19.503L/100km for diesel, 2679.91L and 52L of add blue at a cost of $4862.27 and $124.33 respectively. Towing in to a strong headwind usage went to about 24L/100km and in to strong tailwind down to about 16L/100km. Target speed was 100km/hr by GPS. At 100km/hr actual, the speedo indicates 105km/hr. The car seems to use more adblue per L of diesel when towing than when cruising without a brick behind.
As with others i have found the seats to be very comfy for long distance driving. I have the cloth seats as i find leather gets to hot or cold and does not breathe very well. Very happy with mine apart from the HVAC system. The original external door handles are also a pain. They jam in the open position and then the door wont close. All 5 of mine are being replaced this service.
Good luck choosing

My 2024 (May '24 build) has had zero HVAC issues 5K miles into ownership. A/C blows ice cold, heat blows volcano hot. I don't use the "auto function" just keep it in manual mode and the temp selector works as advertised.

Shippa, those fuel burns to me IMO are reasonable considering the weight your pulling. A mate has a V8 cruiser and he was getting similar numbers so it goes to show the BMW with 8 speed is tuned well i think. As for the aircon leaks it appears hit n miss. There's a Feb 2024 build at dealers for 120k Drive away with winch, bull bar and roof rack which is a good deal compared to build to order price. They have a 2025 model for 130k. Although they say nothing's changed between models id tend to believe on the outside but its the things you dont see that they may have changed at the factory that could set each model apart like ECU's, chip sets, other components that just make them more reliable each year. Maybe im over thinking it but 120-130k is a lot of hard earned coin that's taken me alot of hard work to save just to have a car that needs taking back to dealer for warranty work. Took a 300 for a test drive today and honestly it just didn't compare to the heavy build quality feel of the Ineos and I expected there to be more room in the seat of the 300 but both the IG and LC were similar and the IG just felt better. I thank all those that have answered this post.
