Significant metal in front diff fluid. Ineos says it's fine because function is fine. Obviously incorrect. Anyone have the same problem but ineos acknowledged and fixed? Anyone have workshop manual for the carrano diff so I can do it myself. Dealer says they can't support me because ineos said it's fine.

Due to the way the diff or its housing is cast/manufactured there is some metal to be expected in the first diff fluid change, that’s why it is scheduled early on. This has been discussed in depth on the forum, try searching and you will find more information.

FWIW, I changed my differential fluid at 1200 miles and there was a bit of wear-in sparkle but nothing I would consider unusual, but then again I am from the 60s. I will change it again with my 5k service (with my 3rd oil change).

I wouldn't sweat it honestly, you have proof and if it fails they will not be able to argue and will have to replace.
