Has anyone ordered the Wolfbox mounting adapter? It doesn’t fit the Grenadier’s rearview mirror mounting ball. The mount must be removed and a little metal plate glued to the windshield. Seems like a big hassle. Think I would go to a windshield shop to have this done. Or order it he 67 Designs adapter, but it’s $137usd ($200cdn). I’m using the rubber straps right now.

I’m using the straps too. The 67 mount seems a bit spendy for what it is, but I may go that route…But at the same time, I’ve not given it a second thought after mounting it, so the lazy part of me may just leave it as it is.

I don't mind the straps either. Only issue is if you are intending to use the forward looking dash cam. Using the straps, you only get about a ¼ field of view because of the ADS system box. The 67 Design mount is offset, so it increases the field of view substantially to about ⅔-¾ .

Yeah, the Wolfbox adapter is known not to fit. The 67 Designs mount is expensive, but it's the only one that works properly without hacking something together.
If you don't want to mess with glue, paying a windshield shop to install the Wolfbox plate is your best bet. Otherwise, just stick with the straps.

Just use the straps. When the shaft that holds the mirror to the windshield comes off its a nightmare to get back on. It came off when I was doing the design 67 mount. Ever since then I refuse to install the mount and just use the mirror and have zero issues. Ive done over 30 or the wold boxes including the triples.

Just leave it and save the money for another project or take the wife out for a dinner. That may have more benefit. Haha

Wait what’s wrong with the 67 mount? All I have heard is good.
Nothing. It’s just a little pricey for what it is. I don’t fault them one bit, but was just pointing out that not buying it frees up a little cash toward something else and since using the straps I’ve not thought about the 67 mount since.
