Windscreen washers losing willpower.

Windscreen washers have developed a fault - push water but only a half hearted dribble rather than reaching the windscreen. Passenger side one seems to be spiting out around from the base of the jet housing. I suspect pipe has split or come loose here and hence losing pressure across system. Goes on next week so have listed it for a fix along with a few other minor niggles (a/c water leak getting fixed is the big one).

Will update once I know more.
Mine is now fixed. Agent replaced both the nozzles and now is perfect. They think at one point they adjusted them and made the jet nozzle too wide so hence dribbling. New ones are fine. Lesson is to not adjust them without knowing exactly how to do it without damaging the nozzle ends.

My passenger washer jet was very weak. I pulled the top of the nozzle away from the window a few degrees and wobbled it a bit. Now back to normal.

I must admit that I haven't looked at the nozzles, I just assumed they where adjusted like all my others, insert a sewing needle into the jet and move them.
But having now just inspected them, I see that technology has moved on, I'll give the wife the sewing needles back.

Looking now one has popped out which explains alot!
Lets see if I can get a replacement posted as my local is not very local at the moment (at least for a washer jet!)

I just had both my washers nozzles plus the washer pump replaced. Works perfectly once again.
My washer pressure is OK, it just points too low on the screen. There doesn't appear to be any way of adjusting them, so is it possible to reposition the nozzles if they are removed and replaced back in?

Thanks, I'll have a go, wasn't sure where the heating element fits into the equation
Are all the fieldmaster versions fitted with some sort of heating to the washer jets, and if so are they always on or do you need to put the heated rear screen on?

Yes all M1s have heated washers but don't know how they operate, that is why I was hesitant in taking the washer nozzles out and apart

The jets are just a normal jet with an electrical heating element on the end and plugs into a wire harness. Also N1’s with smooth packs have this feature.

Someone has mentioned before changing pumps and it works perfectly. It seems to be a common issue but doesn’t affect everyone. Last time I looked at the sales brochure of this part, the pump has a micro filter at one end. We can’t access this unless grille and headlight taken out and makes it difficult to maintain.

BMW’s in the past had this issue and always recommended using their own windscreen wash because it would not congeal at the bottom of the bottle.

I plan to drain out the water bottle and put a BMW blue tablet to see if it improves the water pressure as trial and error.

I can rule that out that as an issue because I've only ever used Autoglym screen wash. The actual pressure that the water sprays at is very good making me thick the pump is OK it is just the direction that is the issue. When the weather picks up ( very windy at present) I'll get the mini steps out and have a good look. Access to the nozzles is difficult for " short arses" like me.
