This weekend I have completed the install of a Red Winch bumper and Nomad winch. My next task is to route the main cable back to the battery box . My plan is to secure the cable on the inside of the chassis on the left side and come up through the floor. But I have discovered the floor is double skinned. I am considering drilling an over size hole through the top skin and using a cable compression gland in the second skin so to keep it water proof.
Has anybody experience of installing a winch to a Gen which is not prewired for a winch.
Incidentally I have the auxiliary battery option on mine and intend to connect to the 350amp peg on the second buzz bar .
