The headline says "Magna Steyr" but inside the news you can read that the driveline comes from Magna Drivetrain and that Magna Steyr is responsible for the transformation to a production vehicle:
INEOS has enlisted engineering partner, Magna Steyr, to help with the development of the new Grenadier 4X4. Read about the partnership here.

Here is the announcement of MBtech, later AKKA, as the engineering partner:
The partnership represents a step forward for Projekt Grenadier, as automotive experts and engineers begin work on design and build to a tight project timeline.

Quotation: "MBtech will begin work to take the initial design concepts through to a fully engineered vehicle and will be producing the first mule vehicles, followed by prototypes, later in 2018. It will be responsible for working up the exact specifications of the vehicle to ensure that it is a truly rugged, reliable and uncompromising 4x4."
Interesting...the information was once on the Grenadier Website, then it moved to the Ineos website only. You can't find it on the Ineos Automotive website anymore....does Magna Steyr just sound better...? Before the Grenadier MBTech did things like the MB E-Class convertible....
The reason why Magna rejected a cooperation in the first place was simple. They produce the Jaguar F-Pace. Many in the board feared that Jaguar Land Rover would take away the F-Pace from Magna, when they deal with Ineos. They knew what they had with JLR, but not with Ineos. When I joined Mr. Heilmann on his visit to Magna Steyr in Graz as a Journalist, they told us, it is not the first time that "someone" comes along and wants to build a car. So they simply didn't want to risk their relationship to JLR. They took Ineos not serious at that time.
