Who would or could buy INEOS Automotive if the company has to be sold to relieve debt?

BMW don't currently have a 4x4 in the traditional sense. Only SUVs. However, they do currently have one in development. Codename G74 targeting a 2029 launch.

BMW buys it, builds the Grenadier M = Twin Turbo V8, options to keep ASS off by default and turn off all nanny's like they due today in M cars. Pure mad offroader. Love the idea!

Honestly I think BMW should or would. ;)
You're forgetting one obvious factor.

Grenadier's genesis contains the trademark battle chapter.

Why would BMW eagerly take on an IP that exudes fondness for another automotive brand? "BMW is copying JLR!!!" they will say.
If BMW still owned LR, I would have a different opinion

That has already been answered. JLR lost the court case as they never trademarked the original silhouette. And with BMW coming out with its own boxy, rugged 4x4, they do not need to worry about that, as you cannot copyright a box.

???
The court of public opinion doesn’t care about legal ruling.

So many people have commented to me whether it’s a Land Rover.

If bmw buys the brand it will represent an uncomfortable dilemma of one automaker owning an IP that is a copy of another major automaker’s IP.
