'Plug' and 'deep dive' should never be seen together. Just sayin'...A plastic trim plug of sorts.
Someone can do a deep dive into the workshop manual?
It doesn't look finished enough to be a production part. My next guess is some sort of production line widget. A temporary alignment pin that gets removed and discarded. Maybe dashboard installation.Not squishy at all. It’s a hard plastic.

After filling the tank I tripped a CEL. I used my MX+ to clear the code and when I removed the reader that thing fell from somewhere in that general area.The real question is what was happening with the OBD port and what did you plug-in? And what did you find?![]()
