What did you do with your Grenadier today?

I would love to install a proper snorkel type intake to my Gren. i think it's a real weak point the current RAI (depending on intended use), better than nothing but still could really ruin one's day like it did with Jeremy996. Would feel lots more comfortable with a better design. It's a lot of bread though, and with duty/vat/shipping to UK it's a real lot of bread. I am on the look out for something less pricey and made closer to home, though the GrenX looks like a real good bit of insurance.
I know Safari Snorkel are not interested, so GrenX it was.

I would not like to pay transport costs, fitting fees and VAT on top of what I am already paying. I paid up to avoid cutting thru the fender and it is cheaper than a new engine. The final prompt was watching the Grenadiers do the water crossing at Cape York.

On some trips you have no choice, you must do water crossings, The Savannah Way comes to mind.

I am too so we buy two together. May help shipping costs if we have two. If not if we can find an EU supplier then we pick up on a jaunt across the channel.

Fantastic combo with the Supra shifter and Grenadier USA transfer case knob. The only possible improvement would be for the shift pattern in the transfer case knob to be painted white.
I totally agree about coloring the shift pattern but it should be easily done with a paint marker.

Agreed - I thought the same thing but the lettering is very narrow and so painting it would be a challenge! I may still try it at some point - thanks

If the recesses are pretty deep you can use a paint pen and pack in the ink and then wipe the flat surface off while the paint is damp. (I am not a painter, I am merely a paint spokesman 🤣 )

Check out this guy - look at technique "3" at about 3:40 mark.

I mounted the 5 gallon water container from Rotopax, put it on the TrailRax Mounting Deck, finally got that water from the inside of the rig

Might be the same thing but Pentel Micro Correction pens or similar (liquid paper / white out correction pens to) would be perfect. 3 for £8 or so on Amazon in the UK.

We mark up lots of things on vehicles with them - writing the installation dates on batteries / alternators / cam belt covers etc. They seem to last for years in the engine bay and even on the outside of vehicles. I know this as my children used to write the initials of the sibling that caused the dent in the bodywork of our cars and 10 years later they are still very visible.

Brilliant job. Please don’t tell me that you put it back together in 32 minutes 🤔😂
A bit longer. The actual fender was on in about 3 minutes, and adjustments via the bolts on inside of door takes a little guess and check work, to get the gap and line up of the door just right. The rest is easy. The time on the checker plate took a lot, as I didn’t want to mess up any drilling on a fresh fender. About 90 minutes total, being insanely critical of every bolt, screw, torque and placement. I even removed the original windscreen washer warning label and VIN sticker off old fender. I then placed them on new one as accurate as possible.

So glad I bought a Trialmaster.

Had to go get the mail today. My mailbox is literally in the forest so...

Today was the day I got a tow bar fitted to my 'new to me' Grenadier, marvously fulfilled by Tom Graham and the good folks at Lloyd AllRoad in Carlisle, on time and within budget. They also sourced and fitted for me a cargo barrier, so today has been a very good day.

I was lent a Grenadier while my Grenadier was worked on, so I went to the Lakeland Motor Museum, https://www.lakelandmotormuseum.co.uk/, and stared hard at the Campbell/Wales vehicles and replicas.

Driving a 2024 model Grenadier was interesting; the hands free phone worked well even on the M6 and I hated the ADAS implementation. Tutting at me when I want an indicated 70mph on the satnav is just an annoyance, not a nudge to keeping to the speed limits! It is surprising what you miss; the loaner did not have a side runner, so I nearly fell out of the cab and the centre mirror is a poor WolfBox substitute!

I highly recommend Lloyd AllRoad and Tom Graham; on time, to budget, no issues and I can easily imagine going back even though they are 220 miles and about 4 hours away.
(There is a Premier Inn not far away, although my sister and brother in law did B&B duties this time).

Last week went down to Agile to get their high-tuck exhaust and skid plate installed, which enabled me to install their Apex airLynx rear adjustable sway bar disconnects today. Straightforward install, but on the upper bolts it felt like I needed a third hand to pull down on the sway while I tightened the bolt with one hand while holding the hex wrench with the other. All that remains is trying it out and finding the pressure settings that suit me.

When you say yesterday you were at Lloyd AllRoad, in which case you might have seen mine parked up. Donny Grey Fieldmaster 73 plate. Dropped it off 8.30am on Wednesday for Tom to have a look for a front driver's side leak that has just manifested after 21 months of being dry. I concur with your comments about this dealership, and Tom's enthusiasm for the Grenadier, fortunately for me I'm just 35 miles up the road. I'm very thankful when I hear the stories that others on the forum have in trying to get to a dealer.

Good to hear. Great photos of the museum, would like to visit one day.
