What did you do with your Grenadier today?

This happened today.
The first 10,000km took seven months.
The next 10,000km took eight months.
The last 10,000km took 12 months.
I retired 18 months ago so no more daily commute 🍻

I had my Wolfbox front camera mounted, great work by Trax Custom in Meridian, ID coming up with a custom bracket! The view is perfect!

Also, had my VHF and mounted and wired. Head until under the drivers seat, used the Agile power cover and grommet since I didn’t have the roof power.

Thanks to the Warner INEOS parts team, I added the driver side grab handle.

I abhor seat bolster wear so this finally lets me rather elegantly pull myself up and over the driver seat edge, ingress/egress. I actually bought the Agile Offroad version, but didn't like having to Dremel holes on top of being just a wee bit concerned about having such a heavy piece of metal air bag adjacent. Pls PM me if you want to buy it.

Gotta love OEM parts. Plug & play.

Finally symmetrical

Looks awesome. What did these parts run you may I ask?

At my dealer, they are charging almost double for the OEM parts. You got a good deal with Warner INEOS. Did you install it yourself?
Greedy bastards. Warner INEOS parts dept was a pleasure to order from. A human actually picks up the phone and they knew about selling the driver side grab handle as a full kit.

I installed myself. One banana job. Plug & play.

That’s good to know and you’re lucky to have them. Thanks for the info, cheers!

I have seen a few of these miniatures around - Where did they come from ?

SEALED SNORKEL
Just paid for the final work on Wally, being:
  1. install the diff breather kit;
  2. add rear airbags for towing the van (Poly Air, the ones also used on the van); and
  3. bolt on a sealed snorkel. It is a bolt on job, no cutting. GrenX's final development of the diesel airbox is now complete. Rohan confirmed to me last Friday at the 4WD and Adventure Show.
Have some DIY things to do, but GrenX will do the final work. I need to book the trip to Melbourne. I organized the final work with GrenX at the Sydney 4WD and Adventure show last Friday.

The exterior will be very OEM looking (that is the AU blinker fitted, different to the rest of the world):

Watching the Grenadiers do water crossings up at Cape York in the Canny Outdoor video was the final prompt. The water crossing was deep enough that one unseen pothole and whoosh, as the water gets sucked into the motor.

The old GU Patrol had a sealed snorkel and I needed it one day, crossing the Gascoyne River to reach Kennedy Ranges National Park.

I am thinking of getting the GrenX ally snorkel, did you consider getting it done at SLRV ?
