I’ve never used these before but they seem useful.

These are made for the earlier G Wagen but fit fairly well, not perfect but good enough I think.

Bit of an update on these.
The rear driver’s side went walkabout (fell off) on the highway about a week after I fitted them.
The vendor supplied me a replacement for the cost of shipping. I still haven’t fitted it.

Today, a month later, again on the highway at 100km/hr the driver side front started to give way, but I managed to get the window down and hold it in place until I could pull over and take it off.

End result, I can still recommend the shields themselves, but the double sided tape they come with just doesn’t seem to be able to hold them in place.

I cleaned and prepped the surface of the doors exactly how they recommended.

So now I’m going to take them off and look for a stronger more reliable tape. Any suggestions?

I too have purchased a set based on your write up. Very happy with the weather shields, but the 3M tape must be old, and the plastic is not level where it should attach. Had the wife grab the passenger one that was coming off. Ended up going to Bunnings and getting some 20kg exterior double sided tape that is 10mm wide. I have attached this to the existing 3M tape, and adhered to the QM. It has been in place for a week now, and seems to have adhered really well.
Still at $80 Au delivered is much cheaper than the Climair ones for $260 Au, plus almost as much shipping.

Got my Grenadier hitched. Literally.

Hats off to Colonial Airstream in Millstone, NJ... hands down, the best purchasing experience of my life. Every single detail attended to, including a 2-hour complete walk through (not just showing how to turn on switches... I was taught how to winterize, maximize efficiencies, and the like).

Went with a Prodigy wireless brake controller, which lives in the trailer. I have a pickup with integrated controller for heavier towing duties. Overall, I was pleased with how it towed, especially considering the obnoxious NYC/NJ crowd that "shared the road" with me... View attachment 7892286

Colonial crew is great for many reasons! Ultimately, we bought a late model Bambi second hand from a couple in Essex Junction. Towed great with our LR4; now rigging out with a ProPride hitch with our Grennie. Maybe we’ll see you on the road somewhere!

Did some fishing and scouting today. Bastrop Bayou Public Fishing Area https://www.google.com/maps/place/B...=EgoyMDI1MDUxMy4xIKXMDSoJLDEwMjExNDUzSAFQAw== Wish there had been more catching and less fishing but any time on the water is good time. Broke out the kayak after a two-year hiatus. Worked out a good way to get kayak solo up and strapped down to the roof rack. I put the front of the kayak in the driveway centered on the spare tire, the rear of the kayak to the side of the wagon by the rear passenger tire. Lift up the rear of the kayak and put it leaning on the roof rack / spare tire. Font of kayak is on driveway because the rear of the kayak has a wheel and it rolls away, nose digs in and stays. Once the rear of the kayak is leaning on the roof rack, lift the front and push up and the plastic kayak slides right up. Pretty controlled. Comes off the same way in reverse. Even at the water with about a 15mph wind (freedom units, please convert to metric) the kayak was stable and allowed for loading and unloading by myself in a controlled manner (me no hurt, wagon no hurt – it’s a win!) On the way home passed a Ineos chemical plant of some type so I stopped for a selfie with the purse strings "sugar daddy" of the Grenadier.

Looks good. The company I got mine from off Amazon was total crap. Perfect cut, but impossible to install because the backing paper was heavy vinyl that wouldn't release and was wrinkled from the start. Word to the wise - Do Not buy this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CP5D6N38?tag=globalgrena0b-20
