Hi,

Just waiting on the delivery of my '24 Grenadier and I wanted the steelies, but they didn't have any in stock so they are giving my the 1924's instead at no cost. I want to know what the 1924's are worth so I can see if my local dealer can do a trade.

Thanks in advance,

Bob James

not much at all.

Someone selling 5 of them for $700 on the classifieds… it’s been out there for a long time.

I recommend get the rim that you want. This 1925 is not an upgrade.

All Ineos OEM aluminum rims are extremely ugly and make the vehicle look bad

Thanks everyone! I might just keep them and put some Hakka's on them for the winter and move the KO2's to Steelies, but the steelies are waaay more expensive in Canada than they should be.

Same …ended up with the field master and the 18 inch alloys.. don’t like them, really wanted the steely‘s. Seem a bit hard to come by for a decent price . probably just go with a set of methods.
Unless anyone in central /Northern California wants to trade.? Lol

Didn't think of that either. Are they the same center bore diameter, offset, etc?
That's my understanding.

That's actually a big part of why Owl Vans and Agile Offroad were two of the companies that embraced the Grenadier early. They were focused on Sprinter Van conversions. Early adopters like me, knocked on their doors looking for more wheel options. (I lent my Grenadier to Owl who used it for laser scanning to start product development).

I don’t know, the steel wheels look pretty bad.
I think I have realized why I hate the alu rims.

The grenadier’s body design is excellent. Any wheel that is overly decorative at best takes focus away from the grenadier m. At worst the wheel design clashes the design of the body.

The aluminum wheels are in that worst case category. Every fieldmaster I see, my reaction is - that’s an ugly vehicle - amazing how destructive those wheels are.

The steelies have zero decorative attributes. They simply blend with tires and wheel well, putting the grenadier’s design front and center

It’s because the steelies say, “I’m hardcore. I don’t care about your fancy wheels. I’m utilitarian. I nicked a rock? Don’t care.” The alloys say, “My, there are lots of people at the mall today! Do these wheels make my step look good?”😉

The alloys said "These shure are inexpensive" because so many people wanted something else.

They do make a good second and third set of wheels.

Easy to pick up a set wirh good OEM tires as a backup.

For those with some extra miles on their human odometer there was a time when cars for sale on a dealer lot which featured unadorned steel wheels were the base models you hoped your parents wouldn’t buy. Otherwise, you’d run the risk of being endlessly teased by your schoolmates as coming from a poor family. My parents were thrifty so it was steel wheeled cars for our family… the childhood scars still run deep. 😞

then field master rims with the stupid silver ring is the worst thing in the automotive world.

Will I get called out for wearing a thick gold necklace and oversized watch?
It's getting harder and harder to stand out from the crowd 😉
