USB C port Wattage?

Anyone here know how many watts are coming out of the USB C port? Specifically wondering if I’d be able to charge a laptop off that via USB C in.

I though the range of outputs for USB and c ports in cars was 24w and a fast charger port was 36w.

Ok great looks like I’ll be installing some 65W Usbc charge ports in the passenger and driver footwells. Anyone have experience with these?

One issue I see with this unit is the length of the cylinder for the panel mount at 3.25 inches not including wiring terminals.
If planning to mount to the footwell panels (Interior Aux 1 & 2) I feel it may be too long and interfere with the body of the vehicle. I’m basing my thoughts off of photos of those panels only. I haven’t got a vehicle in hand to work on yet.

I went ahead and ordered the cheap Amazon ones. I’ll bench test and report on them for everyone.

So, I’ve hooked up my Amazon Chinese 65w USBc PD aux port to a 12V battery on the bench. The battery showed 12.2V before getting started.

I’ve got a 100w PD smart cable with LCD display running to the USBC on my Lenovo laptop, which has a 65w wall charger.
The LCD on the cable is showing fluctuation in delivered wattage as the smart chip in the cable negotiates with the laptop for charge needs. It shows between 10, and 50 watts.

The laptop is currently at a 5% deficit from full, and I’ll leave it setup to see if I can get the laptop to charge while in hibernate mode.

I’ve also got the battery clipped on to a 12V trickle charger, I’ll give that a try to see if it mimics an alternator delivering current to the battery, and if that changes any of the energy delivery.

Sofar I haven’t blown any fuses, melted anything or noticed any heat generated in the lines, and the laptop is recognizing energy delivery, the question is how quick is it. I’ll let it continue for 1/2 an hour longer and report back.

And in less than 20 minutes it brought the laptop charge up 5% to a full charge.

This concludes the test worked as a success, and I’ll be installing the receptacles into my Aux 1&2 spots.

I’m also simultaneously charging an iPhone via usbA 18w, from 45%.

Once fully charged with the laptop running I’ll see the voltage drop on the 12V

These things rock! 65w USBc Chargers Voltage drop negligible, charged my iPhone from 45-98% on the USBA In 1/2 an hour.
Not sure how long they’ll hold up but I’m happy with what they are for the $16 price.

Yes, Int 2 needs to be switched on for the USB to receive power.

It was easy. Just go slow and easy. These photos should show everyone where the clips and screws and bolts are. I had the photos in order of progression when I posted this, but somehow they are now in a scrabbled order.
