On Bright sunny days I’m getting a reflection of the sun on the windshield from the borders of the tell tale (they are painted black shinning) It is pretty bright just infront the eye line of sight..
Just wondering if anyone else notice this.
I probably just paint it with a matte finish black

Yes, me too.
It is a bad careless design, the frame should be mat.
Someday I will dismantle the frame (do you know how already?) and mattify it.

No, no idea on how. But certainly will have to find out and paint it on a matte finish

What IS the tell tale?
The little screen infront of the steering wheel were all warning lights (engine, lockers, turn signals, parking brake etc) are.
It has a border in a shinning black finished that reflects sunlight to the windshield

Hmm never noticed it myself. And yes, the sun does shine in Tasmania :)
Maybe the mushroom absorbs it.

By window tint and put on the screen. Takes car of the problem.

I would try black electrical tape on the gloss surround first, should take the edge off the glare. If you apply carefully should give a reasonably clean finish and easy to remove if you don't like it.

Or get the Melvile and Moon dash cover. Love mine.

I keep thinking my rear wiper is on but the back window is just reflecting the front in the rearview mirror!!!
