Sounds like we need to add a scuba mask to the gear, so we can at least get it into neutral and potentially get a quick winch out.
How long can we hold our breath whilst fumbling in the semi-total dark?

I was thinking a length of hose jammed in your gob with a helper holding the other end up, a bit like the Broome pearl divers of old. The neutral screw location is not one of Ineos's best design decisions.

I've got a better idea. What about airbags under the sills? Hovercraftstyle.

Haha good point. That reminds me of drillers pissing on the core in the hope they would get to watching the geologist licking it.

I'm tempted for giggles to send an enquiry to Ineos support and ask their advice as to how to safely put the transfer case in Neutral when the under side of the car is underwater.

No humble pie even though he was wrong, but lots more info from INEOS.

Canny and Fowler have a lot to explain, because INEOS brought the receipts.
