I’m sitting in a hotel room in Kathmandu after riding a Royal Enfield motorcycle for five days in the Himalayas, as most would know the unrest of the youth protests has been intense and most communications outlets and the airport are shut down. It is now a waiting game but not for the President, he is no longer.

May you make it home safely Max.... Saw some video late last night on YouTube of the crowd rampaging through the president's palace and then attacking the foreign minister in his home, along with his wife with what appeared to be wooden batons. Not for the faint hearted!

The Bruce Highway not enough excitement in your life Max?
Safe travels and safe home.

In the 800 ks we did we traveled at most less than 60 kph on some of the trickiest and busiest tracks/roads one could imagine all on road bikes. It is the tourist Mecca to reach one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries at nearly 4000metres in the Annapurna region. Avalanches and landslides with washouts, mud, gravel plus water flowing across was quite common. The Grenadier would eat it up. I was amazed to have only seen one old Defender and it was at the highest level of all the vehicles except the bikes could comb through the walking tracks for a little bit more. The Bruce:D

What a shame they are having this unrest It’s a beautiful country with lovely people.
It’s almost 20yrs years since I’ve been there. I was younger and fitter then and hiked the Annapurna circuit carrying my own pack.
Safe travels home.

A terrible shame that the youth lost lives but from the GenZ point of view the President had to go. That was achieved so hopefully peace might breakout❤️

We had a Nepalese "porter" help us with luggage in Ol Dubrovnik.
He was actually some sort of data company employee in Nepal but needed more money for his family.
Less arduous than portering wealthy tourists up the mountains.
