Apologies if this has already been covered but why buy an “adjustable” dampener (like Fox 2.0) vs. a fixed dampener. It’s not like you’re going to be hopping out and crawling under your truck to readjust the dampener every time you go off road…or do you?

What are the pros/cons of each style?

I’m leaning towards the fixed dampener as they appear to be direct bolt ons with no adjustments / no fuss.

People actually do get out and adjust them according to the surface they’re driving on. Imagine a long road trip on pavement, followed by a long dirt/rocky road in Australia.
But I think most like that they can dial the setting to their preference and then they leave it there. If you buy a fixed one, you get what the specs for that dampener is, and that’s it. If you want more or less push, too bad. I say all this as a guy that is 100% good with my stock set up.

I've got a Fox adjustable. I don't change the setting very often having found the sweet spot for me. I can change the setting by reaching down, no crawling underneath.

Me the same here as well. I found the balance but something I did notice is my steering feels better on that TOO ME than fixed ones. Dunno if it is the pass through design or what just feels better.
