steering as reported is silly

The recirculating ball argument as an excuse for why the Grenadier feels like it does is just ludicrous.
💯

My stock suspension IG is at ~2.3 caster. On a glass smooth, flat piece of hwy asphalt (a rarity here in LA), my IG drives perfectly straight. On anything but (e.g. I-10 heart of LA), I'm usually holding the wheel 5-10 degrees to the right to go straight. On my IFS Bronco Raptor which comes with 37s bone stock, it tracks dead straight with steering wheel centered on same piece of tarmac with minimal correction compared to the IG.

It's just the nature of the beast that I've come to accept. It's an agro farm truck, no equivocation.

The fully returning steer to center is an absolute nonfactor. Enjoy!

Is the steering stops 'adjusting' would be what exactly? Move them back a bit, get skinnier tyres?
Use YouTube to find two separate videos concerning the steering dampener and stops: My Automobile Obsession; and also, Agile Offroad (April 2024). Go to each one's channel and search: My Automobile Obsession talks about his personal experience with the steering issue and and his dealership's install of the Fox and the adjustment to the steering stops. He likes both adjustments, especially with adjusting the stops (tighter turning). Also, Agile Offroad has two instructional videos one talks about the change to a Fox steering dampener for the Grenadier and the other about the steering stops and how to adjust the bolts by each wheel. I emailed Agile Offroad and they also said to use a medium Loctite on the threads. And they gave me the torque settings for the Fox Dampener. Single bolt 75 lbs; bolt and nut 110 lbs. I've only had my Grenadier for a week, so I haven't changed anything yet. However, both of these adjustments make sense to me. I will retain and store the factory dampener.

10* turn of the wheel for highway road crown, but its perfect on flat ground and doesnt wander? ... Can you post vids of this? I had an actual thrust angle in my rear control arms, and I was only a few couple degrees. All lined up with 2.3* caster, I'm good now.

None of which is inherent in a recirc ball system, btw, so I'm not sure why you were quoting that.
