Finally got my new Gren last night - love it so far - but I noticed this morning that I have what looks to be some white stains on the trim underneath the doors. The car was detailed by dealer before they delivered…almost looks like something that leaks down from the door hatches or something above. I haven’t tried removing it myself yet besides using some water and rag since I’m out of town. Just curious if this is pretty normal or what is recommended to clean it off. I’m pretty sure any sort of polish wont take it off…somehow needs to be removed first, then a black plastic polish after that? Thanks for any tips - don’t want to use anything too abrasive that might make it worse.

It's excess anti rust treatment which will subside over time. Had same issue with a new Subaru Impreza. A rag dampened with mineral turpentine should remove it. Then wipe over with the usual sponge/car wash. The turps is "gentle" with the paint work but should not be left on longer than necessary. Turps will also remove road tar.

1. Scratch with your finger. Likely wax. 2 piss on it with personal pwetwash. Either way it’s gone. Welcome aboard to forum

I do not know what it is, someone mentioned wax. I've have had my Trialmaster since August of '24 and this just appeared on my rig seemingly below the door drains(?).

I thought it was pollen off the windows making its way through the doors because it only happend this Spring, so maybe wax and pollen? I scrarched a it bit and it came off so if I ever decide to give my Trialmaster it should come off, for now it is patina.

I used some Dawn platinum on a magic eraser, and it came off very easily…probably didn’t even need the magic eraser…must just be extra wax or something dripping down, but cleaned it up and put some Meguiars black trim restorer and looks like new
