So, knowing what you know, would you buy it again?

What with the TPMS do you need done? It is self learning when I do a 5 tire rotation. It takes a little bit but knows which tire is now not rotating.
This is contrary to all previous discussions regarding the TPMS system, the consensus being that after rotating the tires it still reports pressure but the locations are not correct and stay that way. Can anyone else confirm that it relearns the locations automatically after a rotation.

Whether the other 4 are in the correct location, I haven't truly paid attention and don't really care. I'm used to the LC200 that lists 5 tire pressures in a vertical column.
The Ineos knows that my damaged tire with 0 psi is not one of the 4 rotating tires soon after it is removed.

Dang nice looking rig there!

Heck, even the Grenadier has too much technology in it for me, but you can only get so far away from it in 2025 and still meet regulations..

Quoting myself, this could be problematic. But anyway, this is the kind of crap that worries me about Modern Vehicles (Grenadier included). Heck, I even sometimes think about ditching the EFI on my NAS D90 and putting a Carb on the top..

Absolutely. Not much I would change, other may be than optioning the removable winch.

This highlights the vital need for a good vehicle specific code reader that that can read and clear every code , at the very least a basic code reader that can clear all the codes.
When will that be available for a IG?

Same here. I’ve done a rotation at home, one wheel at a time, and after about 5 miles it recognizes the change in position. On my next rotation I’m going to do all 5 at once and see how it goes.

So, after taking the plunge and stumping up your hard earned to buy a Grenadier or QM, knowing what you know and having lived the dream or nightmare would you buy it again? I feel the Ineos Automotive project is at an inflection point, it either breaks out and starts to generate some volume and acceptance or it dies a death of 1000 cuts. My experience has been overwhelmingly positive and I have no regrets, but maybe my use of the vehicle differs from the masses. HVAC, drive shaft, bings and bongs, steering feel, software glitches, weird noises; are they character building or red lines? Discuss.
Yes, but they would have to put more resources and effort into service and maintenance.

YES, would buy it again.
Had a few of the regular issues of HVAC, boot wash, door seals etc. All been attended too by the dealer.
- HVAC inconsistency and condensation in the footwell (Vehicle currently being worked on and hopefully addressed)

My only real issue are the limits to servicing the vehicle myself, or rather more to support remote travel and service centres - not having to be dealer specific to clear codes, Service reminder reset, TMPS programing by dealer only

That's why I keep a couple of old school carbed vehicles in the fleet.

When I had my corporate ownership interview recently they asked if I would recommend the vehicle I said "Sure! To the right person." and there was a flurry of typing. When asked what I would like to see in the future I said a cheaper, stripped down SWB version with manual trans and rollup windows. I didn't hear any typing.

I did recommend a more powerful engine for North America even though we're happy with the power. There was lots of typing.

We’re probably a pretty biased crowd for that question. Someone once muttered something about "Le cœur a ses raisons que la raison ne connaît point." I think it was Mr. T on an episode of “The A Team?”

Anyhow, most of us probably have some basic parameters that informed the initial decision - body on frame, solid axle, triple locked; but most of us are probably charmed and emotionally attached and that plays a bigger role in our reasoning than we would like to admit. It’s certainly true for me. I’m sure the rest of you are coldly calculating and completely rational. There are a good 10 other options that realistically would have worked just as well for me, but I’m still infatuated after almost 2 years. In my defense, if the instinctual reaction of young children is any indication of a rightly ordered soul, perhaps the affectionate and emotional response to the Grenadier has a solid foundation in natural law. Either that, or I have the aesthetic sensibilities of a 3 year old.

I am concerned for the future health of IA and the continuation of this story. It doesn’t seem like the anemic sales volume is going to suffice, and “plugging along” doesn’t seem a sufficient recipe for success. They have to eliminate the headache factors, and make it broadly serviceable. They are absolutely addressable issues.

Cars, music, relationships, food - it’s all packaged for us and fed to us in the most innocuous form possible. And we lap it up and go to sleep and forget it doesn’t have to be that way. “Do you want to drive the white blob or the gray blob? Isn’t that tasty? You don’t even have to chew! Design your perfect AI fantasy partner! Swipe, and be amused. Take another pill - it will solve your problems.”

Thank you, Ineos - please go kick some ass.

Don't you hate this new world 😤
Well yes and no. I still know a few oldies who love to bang on about the good old days. The older I get, the better I was, you know 😁

My grandma doesn't go on about it being better in the olden days, born in 1920, so 1925-45 would have been her early days of memories she talks about. Sleeping 5 to a bed, then living with relatives round the corner as house too small and then working in factories during the war. Watching the Lancasters go out and waiting for them to come in. So maybe not that far back, the '80's would do for me.

As I remind " kids today" , life in olden times was rough , short and smelly.
