Nothing against this forum, but that benefit can be found across most platforms with any kind of enthusiast base (Toyota/Land Rover. Etc), and even many with no enthusiasts base.. LOL

I'd like to agree but I don't frequent many (if any) others as I haven't found the various enthusiast forums particularly diverse. Just my experience. My lack of varied relatable interests is probably to blame so that's on me. (ex: I have never visited a fishing forum but I used to throw flies 100+ days a year.)

Here there was almost two years of discussion before the product was available. A lot of unrelated subjects came up and it's an international forum where the US membership wasn't dominant.

I dont like driveshaft issues. I would have liked to lift my truck but have to hold off.
Maybe I would have bought a very low mile solid axle last gen G Wagon.
I love the truck so hopefully the driveshaft issue can be sorted out.

I’m not a big drinker but am a big Coca Cola fan so I brought a 6 pack of bottles along. Yup. I’d do it again, mostly because I knew the issues going in -- so when they popped up I wasn’t too surprised and had a plan to deal with them. Having a local dealer open 7 months after purchase has also helped with this answer.

Yes, I would. I take a lot of pride in owning the Grenadier...it’s not another cookie-cutter SUV pretending to be a 4x4. I like its uniqueness and capability. While I could see myself in a Jeep (lot of stuff to make it your own), I’d worry more about domestic build quality. The Grenadier feels solid, and its low-RPM torque and surefooted handling continue to impress me when overlanding. The steering quirks and turning radius don’t bother me, and Rusnak Ineos Pasadena has been great to work with. I wish CARB would let me install a Long Range America extended fuel tank (Boo California).

I share your sentiments about the appeal of it not being cookie cutter. I haven’t spent much time in newer Jeeps, just had a rental Wrangler for a couple hundred mile work trip last year and my buddy has one with 35s (that I don’t think has ever seen the dirt) that I sat in. Even just sitting in it you can tell it’s made cheap. Almost like they expect everything, including the doors, to be removed and replaced. They can afford poor build quality because the people buying them expect to work on them and customize. I really don’t think Grenadiers and JK/JL Jeeps are even in the same category.

It’s a yes from me but I would be way more mindful of the steering pump noise when choosing whether to commit to a particular vehicle or not.

I bought mine second hand recently and didn’t notice the steering pump on the test drive. I asked the seller about it and he said it had never been an issue. But now i own it, it’s loud. It seems like such a small issue - a noise from a steering pump - but it is something that detracts from my driving experience every time I get in it.

I do love the car though!
