So, knowing what you know, would you buy it again?

As above. I REALLY want one. Test driven a few times. Its perfect on the outside but the points in this quote hold me back. Here in Oz it gets hot in summer and the HVAC needs to work effectively and I dont want to be concerned about driveline issues. Im hoping ineos makes the fixes and I'll put my hard earnt cash down tomorrow
As long as the aircon is gassed you don't need to worry about the HVAC, it's having variations between full heat and cold. Once your faulty reservoirs have been changed (or not if ok), then you will get mid temperatures, you just have to spend time learning it's quirks.

It takes 100 positives to drown a negative. I'm offering 500 positives.

As much I love mine. My wife would not let be buy another because of the amount of time and effort I spend on it. She doesn’t enjoy driving it. The flaws define character and it’s certainly brought me closer to appreciate it yet at the same time hate it when things do go wrong and the dealer is so far away. The reason why I haven’t sold it yet is there is simply nothing quite like it. Well there is, and it’s a Suzuki Jimny which I also own. The Grenadier is basically a grown up version of it.

If I didn’t have the 5 year warranty it would be long gone because it would not make financial sense as I’m semi retired.

Also with the way how the government is squeezing every last drop of money out of motorists who enjoy driving a big diesel isn’t looking rosy (what’s going on in Cardiff). I’m dreading future road tax hikes.

I have ever only bought the same vehicle from the same brand unless it’s absolutely perfect but then life would be boring wouldn’t it.

I would not buy my truck again, I love the truck not all the issues and quirks. INEOS doesn't hear their buyers. The only thing they did in 2 years was patch up ADAS. Very sad indeed.

Wife doesn't like driving mine but is happyish to do so on the motorway. Quirks are what makes life interesting, as long as they are fixable. Wife also says I'm always spending money on my Grenadier, which is only partially true but it is the only vehicle I have repeatedly spent money on that wasn't for repairs. I think this shows a love of the vehicle and if it weren't not for the way the UK is heading it would be something I would buy again if necessary. I would have looked at a replacement one as and when i required a replacement and the major issues were rectified to a satisfactory standard. Again, due to the UK government my plans are to keep the vehicle as long as is feasibly possible.

I know, I forgot to mentioned I would not pay the £5k + new car tax. So it’s a keeper until I cannot financially afford to run it.

Yes, would purchase one again. There are small thing I would change here and there, but nothing that would prevent me from purchasing the truck again. I am hoping they work out some of the smaller issues on the Gen 2 which I would probably purchase if the upgrades are substantial enough

It's a joke what the government wants ££ just because you have the gaul to purchase a new car and be able.to afford something a bit more expensive than a bogo hatch back. How dare we!!

From what I've been seeing, the UK has lots of very concerning issues, this is just a very small drop in the bucket of them...

I would.
I have never before owned a car that I was looking forward to drive every single day. With the Grenadier I do.

I have no idea on where some get their financial figures from but one thing is certain, all Ineos companies are loosing money and not turning a good profit from the information I have seen
Happy to be shown statements and reports to show different
I would definitely be more inclined to believe financial statements than the word of a CEO who , after all corporate executives are well versed at, um how do I put it? Bull shitting
I don’t care one bit. The aftermarket would support if they shuttered the doors tomorrow. Front driveshaft is the only real big thing I see keeping me from keeping it forever but even then, if I had to replace every 20k, I’m good with that. Seems easy enough. Other things are pleasantries. My fan in my old truck stopped working. I roll down the window. 100 years ago there was no AC. Our ancestors survived. Some cars are rare, go against the grain, in your face, forget the current trend, tell you where to stick your massage seats type of cars. This is one of those. It’ll have a cult following if it peters out. I’ve had mine less than a week. Yes, I love it. Yes, it could crap out tomorrow and cause me issues, but life is lived once. If it’s awful, it’ll be sold and replaced with a manual Bronco. Keep waiting and they’ll be gone. Used ones will be around, so if it’s a price/value thing, sure wait. If not, what are you waiting for? You’re missing the fun. 🤗

Yes, I would most definitely purchase one again as I have had no issues whatsoever over 10,000 miles. Lots of cool aftermarket items to be had (and I have purchased a few) with a few items on my "to get" list. Heck, I did not even see a reason to change out my Steering Damper. :)
