A sizeable group of Grenadier owners from the Queensland Ineos 4x4 club recently embarked on an expedition to the Cape York area of Queensland Australia...(the triangular bit in the top NE corner of the map of Australia). Even before they reached "the Cape" proper, it appears several owners required new windscreens at the northern town of Mareeba... a very recent post in the club chat group reports another owner who had his windscreen given the Clearplex treatment prior to the trip has suffered a hit resulting in a large crack requiring windscreen replacement.... Perhaps it's time to consider a different material such as "Lexan" with an appropriate external treatment to minimise scratching.....
Thoughts? 🤔
Lexan is not legal for use as a windscreen replacement for safety, visibility and strength/ structural reasons

I don't know if you guys can order it but here in America, I use Windshield defense. You install yourself and it has 3 layers of plastic to help eliminate cracks. It was designed for jeeps and they make a kit for Grenadier.

Someone needs to make a run of these for IG.

I will be installing XPel windshield film (outside) on my new '24 along with 45% ceramic tint (inside). Now I'm a little hesitant to spend the money if this is a design issue.
