Lexan is not legal for use as a windscreen replacement for safety, visibility and strength/ structural reasonsA sizeable group of Grenadier owners from the Queensland Ineos 4x4 club recently embarked on an expedition to the Cape York area of Queensland Australia...(the triangular bit in the top NE corner of the map of Australia). Even before they reached "the Cape" proper, it appears several owners required new windscreens at the northern town of Mareeba... a very recent post in the club chat group reports another owner who had his windscreen given the Clearplex treatment prior to the trip has suffered a hit resulting in a large crack requiring windscreen replacement.... Perhaps it's time to consider a different material such as "Lexan" with an appropriate external treatment to minimise scratching.....
