As a minor player with a small fleet, it’s also easier to have a more direct and intimate after sales relationship with customers.. but no they act like a cold big player.
Stop being selective in rationalizing Ineos’ failings
Agreed with your first paragraph entirely. Your last sentence is not me rationalising Ineos, I rationalise everything and look at it from both sides, I always do and it anoys me, even when i don't agree with my own argument, but if you don't look at it from all sides you can't make an informed decision. If you don't do this then everything you state is biased. If i didn't spend all my life reading about motoring i would expect perfection, but after a lifetime of reading all the woes of other car producers, big or small and startups i didn't expect anything different with regards to early quality. We moan about the simple software but VW's first ID vehicles were woeful and took ages to improve, and not fix entirely, with all kinds of issues.
Again VW, everyone complains about the lack of buttons and the touch heater control but they didn’t listen.
Tesla has an awful reputation for treatment of it's customers and they had terrible quality to start with. After years of producing cars they come up with the Cybertruck that has all kinds of problems.
There are other manufacturers that listen to customers, provide quality vehicles, although none are ever 100% perfect but that is unusual.
I'm not trying to argue with anyone on here or be 0bloody minded and an Ineos fan boy, I'm just being a bit more realistic and understanding.
Ineos was a startup and a lot of work was carried out during the difficult periods of COVID where Europe took away people's liberties and was rushed to market to ensure the whole thing didn't fail.
So, I agree, windscreen is not good enough and way too expensive. Ineos needs to listen to customers and do something about it. Who is to blame is a very complex issue and no matter how much we think we know as experienced customers, sofa commentators or even working in the motoring industry, unless Ineos explain every purchase choices and evaluations of each product and we then compare to another small scale startup, we will never know. Everything else is just speculation.
So, who have I wound up now, sorry.
