Thinking US mainly, but what is a common labor rate for working on a 4 x 4? Does it vary much by geography? Or the task?

Just looking to start out with my grenadier and I’m getting a little bit of a sticker shock.

It varies greatly by geography, style of facility (independent vs. dealer), etc.

Some aftermarket shops I've dealt with are as low as $105/hr, some dealers are over $400/hr...

There other complication is book time per job.
Some have a minimum of 15 minutes per job. So you end up with check power steering fluid, check both diffs and check coolant is charged at 4x15, so that would be an hour. Which is about 55 minutes overcharged.
