It won’t be worse than when Hertz loaded up on Tesla’s then ditched them.

Drivers contributed strongly to the situation of Hertz disposing the Teslas, with Hertz witnessing crashes of the Teslas above other vehicles in their fleet.
This was acknowledge by Hertz in their press release at the time.

The standard Tesla's, not performance or long range, are equivalent in acceleration to a Subaru WRX I once owned. Same acceleration, but the WRX handled magnificently. Can't say I enjoy throwing a friend's Tesla 3 LR into anything resembling a corner

Agree with your points. Some additional ones, in addition to yours documented here. Also agree I’d rather throw a WRX or my Corvette into a corner!

Maybe I’m overthinking this. Maybe it isn’t Trialmasters that are triple locked. My guess is that they are non-lockered so that there is only the center diff lock. Still people might be trying to put it into low the wrong way. I guess they could dumb down the models to make them so that people can’t totally jack them up. But then, they aren’t really what I’d want to buy.
