As hoped, we were blessed by the chaotic neutral intermittent fault. Open sesame!

Have installed a failsafe of sorts:

I love your trick, will implement it too! Why? Because I had rear door problems too. In my case, and after some trial and error it got solved by spraying some lubricant in the main and upper latch of the door.

Was driving towards Ararat and on the Ballarat by pass all of a sudden back doors open warning came on. When i pulled up back doors were open. Have closed them again and the button is very hard to push in. Will try later to open them.
