so i ordered the brake pads that justin @Bodhi’s Grenadier found online.
DHL charges import taxes/tariffs which i can understand.

But they are charging roughly 150% more in processing fee for customs brokerage which makes zero sense to me.
This is 100% digital and i just don't think there is any justification for charging this much for essentially digital effort.
Fine if i get inspected etc but to blanket charge this because i can makes little to no sense.

I paid £13.60 for brokerage to UPS for an EU order to the UK last week, so about the same.

It's a flat fee.

DHL are paying me a pension for the rest of my life, so from my perspective not so bad!

I ordered my pads this week and they arrive today. I would rather pay this small fee than the confiscatory price the dealers are getting for these pads.

$25 +/- front
$25 +/- rear
$50 +/- shipping
$23 tariffs and fees _________________

= not being ripped off by the stealership.

The funny thing is, I’m nowhere near needing pads. I just bought these to stick it to the man and make a point. As well as have a hedge against what happens when an established part is adapted to a new vehicle, after all look what we did to the price of Supra ZF shifters 🤣.
