Powerlet outlet for fridge

I am in the middle of putting my National
Luna fridge into the ineos for an event. The fridge uses a powerlet plug. I have a female powerlet outlet from a prior project that I plan to install on the driver side of the cargo area. Any tips on how to wire it? Do I just grab power from the cigar plug, and ground to the chassis? What conditions allow power to the stock cigar outlet? Is it constant power? Ignition switched? Some set of switches and driving conditions?

I did this and it works great.
I wired a fuse block to the 2nd battery direct.
I mounted the fuse block to the 7 position busbar lid with nylon screws/nuts
Then I added the 2 12VDC sockets and 92W USB power supply.
Took 2 hours.

Tap into the cigar plug's wiring. It's ignition-switched; it only has power when the vehicle is on. Run a fused wire (10-15A) from that positive source to your new outlet. Find a good bare metal spot nearby for the ground. This is the simplest way and ensures the fridge only runs with the engine on to protect your battery.
 
I just plugged mine into the socket in the back of the Grenny. It only has power when engine is running or if engine off I flip the PWR switch on the panel it also powers the fridge and other items.

I’ve done pretty much the same, with the same BlueSea fuse block and an outlet to an ARB fridge socket.
 
I put my fridge on the passenger side. I put in a Hella-style receptacle into the removable trim panel piece nearest the large door. There's a ground already under the trim panel towards the back of the wheel arch, and I drew power directly off the aux battery (with an in-line fuse near the battery); that way the circuit is always hot. I can control the fridge via a phone app, including on/off, battery preservation, etc.

It annoys me that I need to keep the main power switch on to run the 12VDC in the back. ALL the power stays on and it drains the battery more than I like. I will keep the refrigerator on for days or weeks during some trips.
From the RedArc 150ah battery I can run the fridge, starlink, my own USB power, 2000W inverter, cooking 2 meals a day, and an electric blanket for 36 hours without touching the starter battery. I just like being in control of what is on and what is off.

But, it probably cost me $2,500 to get this control, yours is free...

makes total sense too me, I don't run as much as you for sure just fridge and starlink mostly. Yeah sounds like even an ecosmart battery was going to be a camping option for me but never did get around to looking into it either.
