One of the things I'm enjoying about owning a Grenadier is uncovering.What parts might have come from other places and there are many.
One of the things I really dislike about owning a Grenadier is what happend after Sir Jim penciled it out at the pub and turned it over to a committee, specifically the safety committee who brought us all the nanny features. High on the list of silly irritations to me aside from ADAS are the many hundreds of stickers I have peeled off my Trialmaster dedicated to warning me of a thing.
I was peeling the stickers off the positive battery terminal cover and damaged the cover. My 16 year old self would have thrown it in the trash but it looked better in place and the likelihood someone who is not me would put something under the seat and cause a small catastrophe being pretty high I went looking for a replacement.
The 4 things I was reasonably sure I would be able to search were 2022-2024, red, positive battery, and German. Given the unique shape 5 minutes on ebay yielded this.
