I thought I was going mad...various references to Parts Support mentioned 24 hours and others 48.

So it seems UK website is 48 hours but Oz site is 24.

Why?

It was 48hrs but IA have done a little video to explain there might be a small delay of up to a month for parts.

So more 30-33 days for parts support 😂

One reads this as an aspiration rather than a service level for Oz. That said, could be it's faster to get a widget to the Pilbara from Sydney than it takes the same widget to get from Hambach to Bristol post Brexit.

Apparently :

"The INEOS-accredited service network will hold stock of common parts to ensure customers can get back on the road quickly. Any parts that aren’t on the shelf in the network will be dispatched from a 6,000m2 global parts hub in Belgium by express courier."

So Brexit may indeed be an issue.

I think pre-covid that seemed to be a pre-cursor for the wheel to fall off everything globally the system they had sorted would most likely have worked well.

Now with strikes, cancelled flights, lack of stack, war, recessions, inflation….shall I go on ? There might be a few issues getting and sending parts out.

Thats is by no means IA fault and whilst there might be a few issues and late deliveries, it will get much better as the world hopefully settles down again or we just get used to the new normal.

More on that warehouse in Houthalen, Belgium...it looks like a 3rd party logistics operation run by Neovia Logistics.

INEOS Automotive spare parts warehouse.

Great visit this week to Belgium & the home of the INEOS Automotive spare parts warehouse.

Preparations are well under way with large & medium racking in place & small parts storage ready to assemble, the plans look great here….cannot wait to see the empty locations filled.

Spare parts orders are in, now we look forward to receiving the first batch of parts for the stock build phase.

The first Ineos global parts warehouse is in Belgium, but the second will be in Melbourne. It’s set to open “very close” to Ineos’ start of sales.

There's cake in the warehouse, so hopefully there's parts on those shelves too:

Think Chris has got more chance of being seen by a forklift driver in poor light conditions than Steven
