As we all know by now, INEOS spare parts aren't exactly cheap in the automotive world and are sometimes also not immediately available. It can't hurt, therefore, to have an alternative in case of need.

I've now found such an alternative for the front wheel hub nut (INEOS part number: GRA 5E00-021560), which is a special nut measuring M30 x 15, with a 41 mm wrench size and a 50 mm lower diameter.

This nut is intended for single use only and should be replaced with every repair. It is tightened to 375 Nm.

As -Logsplitter- painfully discovered, INEOS charges £105 or €120 for this nut.

Since the INEOS Grenadier uses the Carraro HS6.04 axle at the front and the HS8.06 at the rear, it seemed likely that this nut also came from Carraro.

That's indeed the case, and the nut is listed by Carraro under part number 135938. As a Carraro nut, it costs only £30 or €35 on eBay, for example.

I received two of these Carraro nuts with part number 135938 today. They are identical in all dimensions to the nut that- Logsplitter- received from INEOS.

I bet there's plenty of "factory" parts we can buy elsewhere just from the factories that made the "factory part!"

It’s worth a punt at that price so I’ve ordered one and will let you all know if it matches my OEM spare nut.

It would be very useful now if someone that has had their input shaft seals replaced to get hold of the old seal so we can match a cheaper alternative. Ineos input shaft seal no GRA-5000-021450 at £96.70 each inc vat. Ouch.
An internal part no on the seal is what we need.
@Greasemonkey has identified the seal as 60mm inner shaft diameter. 90mm outer diameter and 13/15.5mm width. The original Ineos seal has an additional rubber lip on it compared to other seals that both @Greasemonkey or myself can find.
Group effort needed to find an alternative.

This is a picture of my front differential output seal. The original INEOS part number is GRA-5000 21450. The dimensions 60-90 13/15.5 are visible on the ring. The manufacturer of the sealing ring is CFW
( Carl Freudenberg in Weinheim, Germany. ) The ring also bears the markings Cassette and HSDRW.

It is a high-quality cassette seal. I don't know why the ring has that extra sealing lip on the outside. CFW makes similar rings, but with different dimensions. I can't find anything comparable in the CFW catalog.

Carraro uses a similar sealing ring under the number 550298. A CORTECO ring with the same number, 550298, is linked to this, but without this outer sealing lip.
